Electronic services are a very relevant and interesting topic, especially for people with disabilities, said the participants in the session organized today, 11 June 2021, by the e-Governance Agency (EGA) in partnership with Transparency International - Moldova (TI-Moldova). The session is part of the information and digital literacy campaign entitled "e-Governance for everyone" and aims at improving the digital literacy of the population in order to efficiently and widely use electronic platforms in interaction with state institutions.

About 40 participants, members of the Association for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled, and  members of the Alliance of Organizations for People with Disabilities in the Republic of Moldova, were informed about access to electronic public services.

The information session focused on practical aspects of accessing electronic social services: allowances, benefits, exemptions, aid and other services that were of particular interest to participants in the event.

The beneficiaries also stressed that e-Governance is an effective system that ensures equity, transparency, efficiency, convenience and equal access for all citizens; in particular they offer an optimal solution for people with special needs, while also allowing to avoid direct personal contact during this difficult pandemic period.

In turn, EGA experts Tatiana Sincovschi and Ion Budeci mentioned that when developing state electronic services and platforms, in addition to using state-of-the-art information systems and technologies, the human factor and its needs are taken into account, according to the citizen-focus principle.

The opportunities offered by the Government Electronic Payment Service (MPay) and everything that access to and use of online payments entails was the second module presented to information session participants. The participants were encouraged to individually access the portals developed by EGA, test their functionality and use the technology to their benefit.
