The e-Governance Agency (EGA) held a new series of trainings for e-ambassadors to strengthen and improve their knowledge on e-governance.

During two webinars that lasted two days, our experts trained over 60 current and future e-ambassadors, promoters of electronic public services. The training beneficiaries were various categories of people, including librarians, people with disabilities, volunteers and young people, members of youth centers in Moldova, who have registered for participation.

The activity is part of the public information and digital literacy campaign, launched by EGA in early June, and is a follow-up of the fruitful collaboration between the e-governance authority and the national network of librarians who are ready to assist citizens in using digital public services.

The webinar agenda included three modules based on the knowledge of the most important online platforms for interaction with public institutions, as well as on the new functionalities and electronic products developed by digitization experts and made available to citizens to facilitate access to state services.

EGA experts Igor Bercu, Sergiu Sitnic and Ion Budeci gave step-by-step instructions on the use of the msign.gov.md platform, explained the procedures for granting authorizations based on the electronic signature through the mpower.gov.md platform, and demonstrated the new improved version of the Public Services Portal servicii.gov.md. A novelty for the participants was the presentation of the Citizen’s and Entrepreneur’s Government Portal mcabinet.gov.md, a new service, providing many advantages to users and representing an important leap in the process of digitization and modernization of public services.

The training also included some practical exercises that e-ambassadors did together with the trainers on the use of the Government e-payments service mpay.gov.md and learned about the new functionalities and opportunities added to the MPay platform.

After completion of the training, the participants will receive digitally signed certificates confirming the status of e-ambassador and giving holders an important role in facilitating citizens' access to e-governance services and platforms.

The two webinars were organized at the initiative of the e-Governance Agency in partnership with the Association of Librarians of the Republic of Moldova, and the Joint Fund of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, Swiss Cooperation in Moldova and UNFPA Moldova for the development of Youth Centers and the strengthening of participation and civic engagement among Moldovan young people.
