The information and digital literacy campaign entitled "e-Governance for all and everyone", implemented by the e-Governance Agency in June, ends today, with successful achievement of expected results and objectives.

The campaign was based on an inclusive agenda and had a particular focus on vulnerable categories of the population: people with disabilities, rural residents, people who do not have devices with internet access or who lack digital skills, children, etc.

Thus, over 300 direct beneficiaries and other participants who attended our live events were informed and trained by EGA experts during the campaign in using electronic services and platforms. The activities aimed at enhancing digital literacy took the form of webinars for e-ambassadors, information sessions for librarians and people with disabilities, training for local public administration authorities, an open lesson on online safety for children and other online and offline events. EGA specialists also informed the public about e-governance opportunities, by participating in the launch of the first digital e-transformation platform at the invitation of LID Moldova, and, as members of the jury, in the contest for the best IT solutions to improve justice, organized for young people by AO INVENTO, UNDP Moldova and IPR.

The direct beneficiaries of the digital literacy campaign include 40 people with disabilities, 160 librarians, over 40 children (10-14 years), about 70 LPA officials from rural areas, from over 30 localities in the country. The first training of the campaign was organized for the specialists of the Unified Centers for Public Service Delivery (CUPS), which will be launched in the autumn this year in 17 rural localities in the country and in 5 consulates of the Republic of Moldova abroad and which will provide support to citizens in their interaction with the state institutions.

The partners of our campaign were over 10 NGO, public institutions, youth organizations, international programs and projects with which the Agency had signed agreements and defined common long-term objectives. These include Transparency International Moldova, UNFPA, USAID, Comunitatea Mea (”My Community”), LID Moldova, INVENTO, local public authorities, the Association of Librarians of Moldova, the Alliance of Organizations for People with Disabilities of the Republic of Moldova, the Republican Center for Children and Youth ARTICO etc.

Thus, the goal of the campaign was achieved, namely the network of active promoters of public e-services was expanded, by granting 50 certificates of e-ambassadors to librarians and young people from Youth Centers of Moldova. We have managed to increase the number of users of electronic services, to build new skills for accessing online public platforms, developed by EGA, as well as to promote the benefits of e-governance among the population. People have realized that digital governance is a choice, one that brings more security, more transparency, less costs, reduces bureaucratic procedures and minimizes corruption, while ensuring the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the public service.

As a result of the information activities, the beneficiaries of trainings provided by EGA have become e-ambassadors and messengers for all those who need support and assistance in the use of online services. In particular, we rely on the young people’s engagement in activities aimed at building the digital skills of the elderly. The beneficiaries, who in this campaign represent disadvantaged categories, are to become active users of digital services, to inform the community they belong to about the principles of operation, the advantages of digital transformation and the main e-governance services that are already functional or are being developed in the Republic of Moldova.

In this context, the e-Governance Agency thanks all partners, campaign participants and reiterates the openness and availability for other collaborations and new projects for all those interested in digitization, technology and digital innovation.
