CUPS specialists trained to provide support to citizens

The e-Governance Agency launched a series of trainings for specialists who will provide support to citizens through the Unified Centers for Public Service Delivery (CUPS).
The first training on electronic public services, based on the knowledge and use of the Public Services Portal (servicii.gov.md) and the e-Payments Service (mpay.gov.md), took place today, 18 June, in online format, and gathered about 30 participants.
The beneficiaries of the training are employees of local public authorities in the pilot localities where these centers will soon be inaugurated. These are 17 rural communities from different districts of the country where the CUPS centers will operate. The mission of the centers is to facilitate citizens' access to public services and to provide modern and efficient channels for accessing public services at their place of residence. These single access points for applying to public services and for receiving the result of the service provision will act as front offices for beneficiaries of public services, giving them all necessary support in accessing the services provided by state authorities.
The trainer Tatiana Sincovschi, CUPS Project Manager, provided extensive information, as well as specific demonstrations of services available to citizens, explaining how they can be accessed, what opportunities the Public Services Portal offers, and what online payment methods can be used.
The agenda of the training session for CUPS specialists from the pilot localities included aspects regarding the concept of electronic public services, the presentation and testing of the portal in its current version, as well as a new, improved format, which will be launched soon.
The agenda also included the presentation and testing of the MPay platform, general aspects of internet banking, interactive training opportunities on the prevention of financial scams, etc.
The training of target groups, including CUPS specialists, public authorities, young people, the elderly, rural residents, is part of the information and digital literacy campaign launched by the e-Governance Agency and implemented in June this year and is designed to bring electronic public services closer to citizens. The next training sessions for CUPS specialists will take place in a week.
The CUPS will be piloted at the level of the central government, through the selected diplomatic missions and consular offices, and at the level of the LPA, through the town halls participating in the project. Subsequently, depending on the experience gained and the demand, CUPS may be extended and implemented at the national level.
