Between January 16-18, 2018, the World Bank's Modernization of Government Services (MGSP) co-ordinating team is undertaking a supervision support mission to Moldova to assess the implementation of project preparation activities.

The project preparation activities are funded under the ECAPDEV Grant, managed by the World Bank Multi-Donor Trust Fund (June 9, 2016 - December 9, 2017) and Project Advance loan (September 2017). The team is headed by Maya V. Gusarova, expert in the public sector, the World Bank - Governance Group.

The purpose of the visit is to examine and evaluate the progress made by the e-Government Center and the State Chancellery in implementing the preparation of the Project Inception Framework, as well as participating in the official launching of the MGSP held today at the Government of the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, the co-ordinating team monitors the effectiveness and consistency of the operational procedures related to the allocation and disbursement of donor financial resources according to the donor's relevant requirements and standards.

The working agenda of the members of the World Bank Supervision and Support Mission includes working sessions with representatives of the State Chancellery, the e-Government Center team, representatives of the public service providers to be reengineered and digitized and external partners.

The "Government Service Modernization" Project aims to improve the access, efficiency and quality of government service delivery and will be implemented over a five-year period (2018-2022).
