Quality public services and a transparent and efficient decision making process are the core principles of the Government e-Transformation process. In this context, the data and geospatial maps have a priority role in the implementing of the e-Transformation Agenda. 

Central public authorities (CPA) and local public authorities (LPA) can now use GIS system (georeferential database) due to the State Chancellery purchasing of an ArcGIS licensed server.  

The data provided by the ArcGIS server can be presented in several ways. CPA can use the data to accelerate and facilitate the decisions related to public policies and for their activity reports. LPAs can use the server options to: 

-manage landscaping and infrastructure activities,  

-analyze demographic data, 

-manage and maintain municipal networks (aqueduct, gas pipeline) 

-monitor and improve the business environment al the municipal level, etc. 

The georeferential databases developed al the level of every public institution will lead to providing more qualitative public services and to a higher transparency in the decision-making processes, at the same time raising awareness in entities involved in the management of public projects and budgets. 

Currently the ArcGis server is successfully used by the State Chancellery and the Agricultural Information Centre (www.cia.md/atlas), and the list of users is to be further completed by: 

-Directorate for Education, Youth and Sport of the Chisinau City Hall, 

-Orhei city hall 

-Varzaresti town hall (Nisporeni),

-Mihailesti town hall (Riscani).
