Study visit to Estonia – information technologies for good governance at local level
Representatives of the Local Public Authorities from Moldova, Tunisia and Ukraine attend a workshop dedicated to the use of information technologies for good governance at the local level. Moldova is represented by LPA delegates from din Edinet, Orhei, Hancesti and Cimislia.
The workshop takes place in Tallinn and is organized at the initiative of Democracies Community LEND Network (Leaders Engaged in New Democracies) and in partnership with the E-Governance Academy from Estonia.
The workshop attendees will discuss about the ability of municipalities/cities to adapt to the rapid change, which is generated by modern technologies, and to cope with problems and challenges encountered within the development process. Tallinn service delivery model shall be offered as an example. The workshop is also cover issues related to the protection of personal data within the e-services provision process.
The study visit to Estonia represents a first step in locating the e-Government agenda at the local level as to ensure provision of quality services and effective governance at regional level.
