The Republic of Moldova participates within Tallinn e-Governance conference

From May 30 to June 01, 2016, the Electronic Governance Centre and Ministry of Finances representatives participate within the e-Governance conference, organized in Tallinn, Estonia: „Impact of e-Governance on the economic progress and transparency increase in the Eastern Partnership countries”. Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia and Ukraine will also attend this conference, alongside our country and will share their experience related to the implementation of e – Transformation Agenda.

The exchange of experience will concretize during a range of information sessions and transfer of knowledge, as well as the best practices of growing the Government efficiency and transparency and fight against corruption, as an implicit effect of digital transformation.  

Therefore, Iurie Turcanu, the director executive of EGC, talked about the main e – Transformation Agenda achievements and presented a wide analysis related to electronic services impact on the Republic of Moldova economic progress. During questions and answers, Iurie Turcanu informed the public interested in the Republic of Moldova e – Governance performances. 

„We are interested in learning more about the e – Governance experience of countries attending the conference, given that we have the same implementation system of the e – Transformation process. The start of governmental services modernization in the Republic of Moldova has been made, and even if we have many challenges to face, we believe in outstanding results we will achieve.” Iurie Turcanu, director of EGC declared.

High officials also attend this conference: Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, Marina Kalijurand, French Minister for Digital Affairs, Axelle Lemaire and other international experts in electronic governance area.  

The Tallinn conference is carried out within the Estonian Information Technology Week and annually joins experts from the fields of e-Transformation, business sector, international organizations and civil society organizations and aims to address complex subjects as the experience of the European countries related to electronic governance, implementation difficulties and risks of some reforms and other vital aspects that should be considered during digital transformation process.

The digital e – Transformation is one of the shortest ways towards the Government productivity increase through the delivery of high-quality public services to citizens and business sector.
