The Republic of Moldova aligns with EU's common effort to ensure information security

In October, the Government in partnership with the Electronic Governance Center (EGC) is organizing a series of actions dedicated to promoting information security. They are linked to the celebration of European Cyber Security Month, held for the first time in the European Union.
Between 15 and 19 October, in Chisinau, will be held "The Government's Information Security Week". It is addressed to civil servants, business community, civil society and citizens. Within the event will be organized several activities: a workshop with the participation of foreign experts in the field of information security, attending the civil servants' offices in order to make them aware of the information security's importance and thematic roundtables. In absolute premiere will be launched The Legal Clinic, a debate platform based on the legal aspects of e-government and the EGC's specialists will participate in informal meetings with young enthusiasts of information technology in order to stimulate the debates about information security.
The objectives of European Cyber Security Month are: providing information about information security through best practices and competitions, informatics' risks awareness and changing perceptions about cyber threats.
