Representative powers will be granted from anywhere in the world through MPower

The news of the seventh week of the communication campaign organized on the occasion of the 10 years of e-Governance in the Republic of Moldova is the launch of a new electronic service - MPower - Register of representative powers based on electronic signature.
The MPower information system allows both nationals in the country and abroad to grant representative powers to a third party from any corner of the world.
The launch was announced today, 24 November 2020, during the LIVE event with the e-Governance Agency, where our experts explained the functionalities of the platform and the benefits of the new MPower automated information system to participants and the general public.
"The MPower representation service is a simple tool allowing to issue representative powers using the electronic signature in just a few minutes", the project manager Igor Bercu said.
EGA’s legal consultant Vadim Vintila referred to the legal framework underlying the MPower operations and stressed: "The representative powers can be issued autonomously, without using notary services, it is free of charge, reduces costs and saves time. It is accessible to individuals and legal entities of public and private law, based on the qualified electronic signature”.
"State information systems are very easy to use because they are integrated and interconnected. MPower is based on MPass, MSign, MNotify, MLog, MConnect, MCabinet and MCloud services”, Artur Reaboi, EGA's information systems architect said.
Today's event included demonstration of use of the new government service and recommendations to future users on how the system works in practice. EGA’s representatives also announced their ongoing availability to provide guidance to all users seeking support for a successful use of digital public services.
Sergiu Strungaru, Head of ITS’ General Directorate of Information and Operational Records, invited to the event, stressed that the new MPower government service facilitated the process of obtaining representative powers, excluded paper, reduced costs and cases of forgery or interpretation of documents. He congratulated the authors of the new product, wishing them success and more digital projects with the same efficiency.
Ana Groza, the executive director of the Foreign Investors Association, thanked EGA for the close collaboration and for the impact made by public electronic products on digitization of economy; she expressed her gratitude to the organizers for a detailed, clear and useful presentation, stressing that digitization was no longer a utility, but a necessity.
Along with the other new electronic services launched during the LIVE broadcasts with EGA, the new digital governance platform offers significant benefits to users and is part of the series of services aimed at improving governance performance in the Republic of Moldova, reducing costs, bureaucracy and bringing public services closer to the needs of the citizen.
