June 30 is date up to which the taxpayers may pay the real estate tax, benefiting from a reduction of 15%.

The taxpayers, who are not yet aware, need to know that this procedure can be performed online, by means of the Real Estate Sheet Service.  The much better news is that the taxpayers are now exempted from the necessity to appear before the commercial bank counters in this respect. Thus, the taxpayers who have received a payment notice from the State Tax Service and local councils can pay the real estate tax via the Governmental Electronic Payment Service MPAY - which makes possible the payment of tax by an electronic transaction.

The MPay makes it possible to pay the tax through multiple payment methods such as: bank cards, payment terminals, e-banking systems and cash payments. In the case of cash payments, citizens may appear before the connected bank counters or “Posta Moldovei” SE post offices. 

Thus, the payment of the real estate tax - that so far was a time consuming process, can be summarized into a few minutes’ activity, independent from the public institutions’ working hours. 

Connection to MPay offers considerable advantages also to Moldovan citizens settle down outside the country, therefore, these taxpayers may pay the tax on real estate through MPAY by using the bank card. 

Note: The real estate tax is a compulsory payment to the local budget, which is determined based on the real estate value, the taxable amount being considered the estimated value of these goods. The objects subject to taxation are real estates, including lands, buildings, constructions, apartments and other isolated premises, whose removal is impossible without causing damage to their destination. Subjects of taxation are legal entities and natural persons resident and non-resident in the Republic of Moldova.
