Public Services Portal – a different level of accessibility and multifunctionality

The Public Services Portal was launched today, 6 October 2021, in a new, improved and updated version with new features and information about public services that can be accessed by all citizens of the Republic of Moldova, business representatives or anyone who is interested. The single platform that presents comprehensive information about the full range of state services provided by the central authorities of the Republic of Moldova was completed with new data and useful information about public services and modern ways of service delivery by state institutions. In the new version, the portal gives citizens the convenience of accessing about 250 digital services in a single electronic counter servicii.gov.md and guides the user in finding information structured by life events, with a friendly interface and advanced search engine.
The information was structured by groups of public administrative services associated to a fact of particular importance for a natural person or legal entity, i.e. by life events, including birth, marriage, business start-up, construction of a real estate asset, purchase of a car, etc., and in accordance with the Integrated List of Public Administrative Services and the List of life events associated with them, approved by the Government.
The development of the new version of the Public Services Portal was also based on the State Registry of Public Services, which contains all services provided by specialized central public administration authorities, with the possibility of adding public services provided by local authorities. The document is the information base for the single government portal of public services and helps the user to find all currently available public services in the Republic of Moldova.
The portal serves as a single point of access to information, describing the steps, the fees and all details related to public services and is in line with the European Vocabulary of Public Services.
The host of the event, Olga Tumuruc, the Director of e-Governance Agency (EGA), talked about the importance of effective collaboration between EGA and all service providers, urging them to give top priority to this exercise in order to make sure that coherent and up-to-date information is reflected on the Portal.
The Deputy Prime Minister for Digitalization, Iurie Turcanu, the special guest of the event, talked about the complexity and usefulness of this portal in further modernization of public services provided by public authorities, as well as EGA’s key role in transforming the governance.
The Project Manager Igor Bercu made a presentation of the portal servicii.gov.md (new version), outlining the aspects that have been improved, completed and updated, as well as demonstrated the stages of accessing the necessary information in a simple, fast and convenient way.
In this context, the Head of the Diaspora Relations Office Nadejda Zubco stressed that the improved information platform ensures the access of our nationals leaving abroad to public information and services provided by institutions in the Republic of Moldova, which can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
With the launch of the new version of the Public Services Portal, the users will no longer have to browse dozens of addresses to search for information about public services provided by state institutions, but will find them all on a single address. The basic objective of this change was to inform potential beneficiaries of public services in a correct and timely manner and to give them the opportunity to access all public services via the Internet and mobile technologies. Digitalization means free access for everyone!
