Ministries’ coordinators for e-transformation and open data, civil society representatives and journalists participate today at a workshop on open data. This event is organized by the Center for Electronic Governance together with the Open Knowledge Foundation.

The workshop on Open Data is organized in order to present the latest trends in the process of data opening.

Within the workshop, Milena Marin, the coordinator of School of Data project at Open Knowledge Foundation speaks about the most important aspects of the open data, about how public data should be opened and proposes measures for addressing the challenges the public sectors deals with through the process of data opening. At the event, legal aspects on reusing public information will be also addressed.

The Government of Republic of Moldova proposed the initiative for open data in April 2011. Promoting the open data agenda and offering access to reusing public information are among the most important objectives of the Action Plan for an open government.
