Progress in implementing electronic reporting by State Tax Service

A recent analysis conducted by the State Tax Service regarding the stage of adoption of the "Electronic Declaration" service shows that the new service integration efforts have been successful to date, trend expected to retain, supported by the activities scheduled for 2012.

According to statistics, only in 2011 - June 2012, 2321 people were conected to the "Electronic Declaration" service for free. The number of legal entities is currently 15517 connected businesses. 311,334 documents were registred as  being submitted during that period from businesses registered for VAT and 2810 from individuals.

For 2012, the State Tax Service has set a new goal, focused on connecting for free the VAT paying businesses in the country (about 10 000). In this respect, starting September 3 a new round of connections will be initiated for businesses under Article 187, par. (21), lit. b) of the Tax Code. Under the new provisions, starting January 1, 2013, the reports shall be submitted electronically by this category of taxpayers also.

Moreover, Î.S.” "Fiscservinform" will focus on regional expansion. In this regard, Mr. Nicholas Casimi, Head of the Commercial Division SE "Fiscservinform" said that "on the account of the principle of regionalization 10 new Connection Centers will be created, where the connection to the "Electronic Declaration"  service will perform at the highest level. The economic pperators will be trained to use SIA "electronic declaration" in the practical training sessions to be conducted free of charge, every Friday, both for Romanian speakers, and for Russian speakers.

The "Electronic Declaration" service was created in 2009 and is an effective tool for creating, checking and submission of tax through internet network. The nominated service provider is SE "Fiscservinform" – the technical manager of the State Tax Service technology (STS).
