The program entered into partnerships with UN Women, eGovernment Center, Novateca, ATIC and TEKEDU and aims at strengthening entrepreneurial and innovation abilities, training girls and women to use digital technologies. The pilot-program aims at encouraging its invitees to discuss and share their experience in feminine emancipation through IT.

Representatives of the government, international organisations, NGOs, journalists, bloggers, and girls from rural places, girls with locomotor disabilities and Romani girls will participate in the pre-launching.

The conference program will consist of several discussions with Ingrid Tersman - the Ambassador of Sweden in the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu – minister of education of the Republic of Moldova, Ulziisuren Jamsran – head of the UN Women Moldova, Evan Tracz, IREX/Novateca Moldova director. The Ministry of Education, Ministry of Information Technology and Communications, as well as the NGO International Association will make presentations on the conference subject. The day will end with a workshop led by YOPESCO.

The “Girls go IT” forum and workshop will organise a summer camp where girls aged 16-20 will develop their IT abilities, under the mentorship of national and international experts.

Girls go IT plans to extend its program in as many rural places of Moldova as possible to provide the girls with opportunities to train their IT skills, which will enable their emancipation and ensure them a more successful career.
