According to data presented by the State tax service, the share of electronic declarations using e-services has grown almost three times. If in 2016 5 570 electronic declarations have been recorded for fiscal period 2017 their number had grown up to 16 191 out of total declarations (211 208).

During the Press Conference "Presentation of declarations on income tax results for 2017" the Director of the State tax service (SFS), Mr. S. Pușcuța explained this dynamic by increased popularity of electronic services among SFS staff and the massive use of them by the taxpayers.

Electronic Declaration was launched in 2014 aimed to simplify the process for submission of statements of the taxpayer (individuals and companies) to the State tax service. This service is integrated to other governmental e-services and platforms such as MPay, MPass, MSign.
