National standards in the field of information and communication technology

The rapid pace of information technologies’ development prompted the establishment of a digital economy and a knowledge-based society, whose key element is information intelligent dissemination and use. The new trend brings implications for employment, labor relations and the lifestyle in general. In this context, the issues related to information security and smooth functioning of the IT industry become of primordial importance.
Thus, the National Standardization Institute (INS) has qualified a series of ICT European and international standards as being national. For instance:
SM ISO/CEI 27001:2014 Information technology. Security techniques. Information security management systems. Requirements.

- increasing productivity by reducing the operational risks and augmenting availability in operating information systems;
- giving full credibility, integrity and trust to customers, employees and contractual partners on the fact that the company's information and information systems are protected etc.
