On 2 June 2021, version 2.0 of the MPower service, an Electronic Authorization System using e-signature, was launched. Electronic authorizations can now be created on MPower platform by using two new options. Thus, MPower users will be able to handle the granted, received or co-signed authorizations in a more convenient and informative way.

The service was improved by adding modules required to create new types of authorizations. The valuable add-ons in the Version 2.0 include the following options: create types of authorizations for generating lists of public persons authorized in various areas; include third parties, as co-signatories, in the creation of authorizations; create authorizations containing auxiliary text, box or date fields.

The homepage interface was improved: a more representative display of the lists of authorizations - granted, received or co-signed; filters applied according to the status of the authorization - valid, pending, suspended, and invalid; sorting of authorizations - by the date of creation, the authorized person, the service provider and others.

The section on issued authorizations was completed with new information blocks: Details (extended module), Actions (new module), Co-signatories (new module), Events (extended module), Useful info (new module). The information blocks display chronologically the extended information about the change of the authorization status, showing information about the date, the action, the user, the status, the existing co-signatories, the reasons for accepting or rejecting the authorization.

Another option that brings MPower closer to citizens is the improved algorithm for sending notifications to the parties involved, about actions of granting, accepting, suspending or withdrawing authorizations. Notifications are automatically sent to the authorizing person, the authorized person and, where applicable, to the co-signatories, via the Government Notification Service MNotify.

The texts for all language versions were adjusted, allowing access to information available on the page in 3 languages: Romanian, English and Russian, in all sections.

The MPower electronic service was launched at the end of 2020, allowing anyone to issue authorizations remotely, by using the electronic signature. The following authorizations can be granted through MPower: pick up an administrative record certificate, pick up a detailed criminal record, pick up a criminal record certificate; pick up consignments sent via the Express Courier service of SE “Posta Moldovei”; pick up simple (unregistered) postal consignments at SE “Posta Moldovei”. A new type of authorization has been added recently, “Obtaining permits issued by PSA”, by which the Public Services Agency offers the possibility to pick up more than 20 types of permits.
