MPay transactions amounting to over 101 million MDL

The electronic payments represent one of the remarkable development of information technologies and telecommunications’ echoes. This breakthrough benefits are reflected on all the parties involved into an economic transaction, from the consumer up to companies, banks and even the central and local administrations. That is why the governments are becoming more animated in encouraging the electronic payment systems, aiming, first of all, at facilitating citizens' access to public services.
The Governmental Service for Electronic Payments MPay represents a local example in this respect. Since its launch in September 2013 up to the present time, transactions amounting to over 101 million MDL were made, the figure of 1.4 million MDL representing the daily collections’ record during the reference period.
MPay provides citizens with the possibility to pay for various services by using any legally permitted payment method.
