More access to information through digital literacy

The information and digital literacy campaign, initiated by the e-Governance Agency (EGA) for different categories of beneficiaries, continues with a new event for librarians.
The information session entitled "Electronic public services for everyone" took place today, 8 June 2021, and brought together over 60 librarians from different rural localities of Straseni and Ungheni districts.
The benefits of e-governance, the new platforms and products launched by EGA and the ways to access them were presented to the training participants by the expert Tatiana Sincovschi, EGA project manager, who explained the details about accessing certain services, the functionalities of digital platforms and the benefits of using the Internet in various relations with the state. These include transparency, convenience, speed, lack of intermediaries and acts of corruption in obtaining a particular service, saving time and other resources.
The opportunities provided by the Government Electronic Payments Service (MPay) and everything related to the use of electronic payments and receiving social benefits online was the second module presented to librarians by Ion BUDECI, EGA’s MPay operations specialist.
The librarians gained theoretical and practical knowledge about the online payment of various taxes, fees for issuance of criminal record certificates, personal documents of birth, death, marriage and other over 700 services that can be paid through the MPay platform. The participants were curious about the digital alternative of interaction with the state, having the opportunity to ask questions and learn details about topics of interest to them in the use of electronic public services.
The information session was organized by EGA in partnership with NGO Transparency International Moldova and is part of the Digital Literacy Campaign implemented by EGA in June 2021.
