The Public Institution “e-Governance Agency” (EGA) participated in the International #GBC (Government. Business. Citizens) Forum, organised in Minsk, Republic of Belarus, from 28 to 29 April 2021. The main purpose of the meeting was to present the e-governance achievements and projects, and identify new ways of digitalization and interaction between the Government, businesses and citizens through information and communication technologies.

During the Forum, Olga Tumuruc, Data Exchange and Interoperability Administrator presented the experience of the Republic of Moldova in building and developing the technological solution to ensure interoperability and automated data exchange between information systems - Mconnect Interoperability Platform. In her presentation, the EGA expert referred to the premises for creating the new data exchange system, the regulatory framework and the specifics of the national interoperability platform. „From a technical perspective, what we have developed – the MConnect platform – is a centralized model of data exchange, a "national data pipeline", the single entry point for authorities, data exchange participants, which ensures a much more efficient interaction between state institutions and in their interaction with the private environment and citizens", said the EGA representative at the #GBC Forum.

The event was an excellent opportunity for participating countries to exchange views and experiences on innovations in the field of digitization of population documentation, electronic services, but also to discuss the prospects for the digital future of interaction between state institutions, the business sector and citizens.

The #GBC forum took place in a mixed, offline and online format, bringing together representatives of government agencies and organizations, IT companies, the financial sector, international organizations and academia from several countries. The topics addressed in the four thematic blocks were the development of digital services for a higher level of interaction between the state and society and the efficiency of public administration due to technologies, especially in the context of responding to the challenges of the global pandemic.

EGA's participation in the #GBC International Forum is part of a series of actions for the development of international partnerships in the field of e-governance. EGA currently has 17 national agreements and 6 international agreements.
