Mayors from across the country were informed about the e-Transformation Agenda

The Center for Electronic Governance (CEG) attended today the “Quarterly meeting with mayors” from several localities in Moldova.
During the meeting, the mayors as well as the other representatives of the country local public administration authorities (LPAs) learned more about the e-Government benefits in terms of increasing quality, responsiveness and transparency of the governing act, improving public service delivery schemes by reengineering and digitization, optimizing data exchange between public institutions etc..
Moreover, the event participants were informed about the recently launched e-government services and the ones under implementation which can be found in the e-Transformation Agenda. They have been made aware of the 2013 Annual National Survey results with respect to the Perception, assimilation and support by the population of the e-government transformation in Moldova.
The CEG participates on a systematic basis in meetings and workshops targeting different e-Government-related issues for representatives of LPAs in the Republic of Moldova, organized by local and international partners during the e-Transformation Agenda implementation.
The “Quarterly meeting with mayors” is organized under the Joint Integrated Local Development Programme (JILDP) implemented jointly by UNDP Moldova, UN Women, Moldovan, Swedish and Danish Governments.
