The Leadership School for Young Political Leaders in a study visit at the Center for Electronic Governance

Today, June 18, the Center for Electronic Governance hosted 25 young people from the Leadership School for Young Political Leaders.
The meeting held at the Center for Electronic Governance headquarters concludes the series of study visits foreseen within the “Leadership School for Young Political Leaders” (STLP) project, organized by the Association for Participatory Democracy for the 8th time this year.
During the visit, the youngsters were informed, in an interactive manner, about the Center for Electronic Governance main activities, opportunities and challenges in developing and implementing electronic governmental services but also objectives set for this year in terms of achieving the Strategic Program for Technological Modernization of Governance (e-Transformation).
Special attention was paid to the youth crucial role in the efforts intended to render governance more efficient through information technologies (TI). Furthermore, the discussions were focused on trying to identify the best ways to increase the number of young people involved in delivering the principles of transparency and efficiency of communication between government and citizens.
In addition to the meeting held at the Center for Electronic Governance, this year, the young people had the opportunity to carry study visits at the Parliament and at the OSCE Mission.
Within the thirty editions of the Leadership School for Young Political Leaders over 600 young people representing all political parties and several higher education institutions of the Republic of Moldova were trained. The 2013–2014 edition of the Leadership School for Young Political Leaders is organized within the “Young Political Leader – Promoter of European Values” project, with financial support from the Soros Foundation Moldova Good Governance Program.
