The joint technological platform for data exchange is accessible for all city ward administrations in Chisinau in order to provide quality services to citizens

The e-Governance Agency systematically trains public service providers on the use of e-government platforms and operation of available data systems, as well as on new functionalities and applications.
Today, a group of officials delegated by the 5 city ward administrations of Chisinau were trained on how to access the datasets available on the Government Data Portal www.date.gov.md.
The training was organized in the context of the need to adapt public entities to the new provisions of the Law no. 142 dated 19.07.2018 on data exchange and interoperability, which was amended at the end of 2020.
The law stipulates the obligation of public authorities to ensure the provision of services without requesting the applicants to provide certificates, documents or other evidence in hard copy, if such data is contained in information resources and can be accessed and used through the MConnect interoperability platform.
The training participants were guided from an informational, technical and operational point of view on how to use the Data Platform correctly and were urged by the EGA specialists Olga Tumuruc and Sergiu Bedros to act in accordance with the legislation in force and to adjust their regulations and guidelines to the new provisions.
The use of data available on the Government Data Portal is logged and must have a legal basis, said the EGA experts, while the advantages offered by the participation of public entities in data exchange are obvious. These advantages include the reduction of administrative burden and costs, time and effort and the simplification of communication between state institutions that keep truthful, up-to-date, secure and complete information.
The beneficiaries of the training course asked questions and submitted proposals regarding the addition of certain datasets to the portal. These will be examined by the EGA specialists and added in accordance with the provisions of the legislation in force.
It should be mentioned that some public institutions (e.g. the National Social Insurance Agency) have already officially stated that they will no longer issue hard copy certificates to be submitted to various public institutions on the territory of the Republic of Moldova. This decision was announced following the entry into force of the new legislative provisions mentioned above.
