The objectives for the development of the interoperability platform focus on several priority areas, including sustainability of the technology platform, use of modern technologies to maintain system performance, and launch of a cross-border data exchange scenario to facilitate protection of the social rights of Moldovan nationals abroad.

This statement was made by Sergiu Bedros, Head of the Automation and Integration Department, in an interview he gave together with his colleagues, Olga Tumuruc, Head of the Data Exchange and Interoperability Service and Igor Arama, legal consultant, to Agora news portal.

The discussion focused on current issues related to the development of the governmental data exchange system, its usefulness and accessibility, but also the role played by e-Governance Agency in the process of digital transformation of governance in the Republic of Moldova.

The experts noted that there was still reluctance on the part of some institutions/officials to integrate in the MConnect Interoperability Platform. Thus, the EGA team responsible for the development of this platform must not only offer technical solutions, but also convince the public institutions with great enthusiasm that online interaction is important and necessary, in particular in the current pandemic situation.

Read about the achieved progress and the future plans in the material published in the INTERVIEW OF THE WEEK column, part of the Communication campaign "10 years of e-Governance in the Republic of Moldova" in the eighth week with the general message "e-Governance is Enthusiastic!": https://bit.ly/2JuNsl2
