International Conference “Cyber Security in Moldova: Challenges, Trends and Trust Building Measures”
The Government Center for Cyber Security organizes, between October 2-3, the international conference “Cyber Security in Moldova: Challenges, Trends and Trust Building Measures”, with the participation of experts in the informational security of the European Union and NATO, IT specialists in the country, civil servants.
The event is part of the activities developed within the "Cyber Security Month in the Government", organized in Moldova for the second consecutive year.
The conference is attended by Serghei Popovici, general director of the Center for Special Telecommunications, State Chancellery; Stela Mocan, Executive Director of the Center for Electronic Governance; Christian-Marc LIFLANDER, Policy Adviser, Emerging Security Challenges Division, NATO; Donald Carroll, Director, Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Section, U.S. Embassy and Natalia Spînu, the Director of the Cyber Security Center, the Center for Special Telecommunications, State Chancellery.
The government of Republic of Moldova organizes in October "The Cyber Security Month in the Government" as part of the European Cyber Security Month. Thus, throughout the month a series of events will be organized that will gather in Chisinau government officials and IT professionals in the public and private sectors. The discussions will address technological aspects of cyber security in government, as well as of the policy framework.
The purpose of the events is to promote cyber security among public officials and citizens in order to change their perception on cyber risks and provide them with updated security information through training and sharing of best practices.
