Integrating the Government Electronic Payment Service (MPay) with internet banking services for legal entities has been the key topic discussed today with 20 bank representatives during a working meeting.

The top management of the E-Governance Agency (AGE) referred to some issues that affect legal entities to pay via MPay using the internet banking method because of the lack of needed integrations from banking sector. These issues have been identified during payments digitization of various public services.

Also, AGE representatives highlighted the advantages of Integrating  MPay Service with internet banking services for legal entities such as: reducing time needed for legal entities to process the payment (pre-completion of payment orders) and making payments with one click; attracting customers by offering simpler public payment service (developing corporate banking services - planned recurrent payments, e.g monthly taxes, annual fees, etc.); Reducing cases of erroneous payment processing (IBAN data will be provided by MPay).

During the workshop, the AGE Director, Eugeniu Ursu said: "The creation of favorable conditions for economic agents to facilitate public payments, to maintain fair relations and to promote digital payments in the Republic of Moldova is an important and prior isusue for the Government of Moldova which requires openness and support from the banking sector."
