The Government approved the Regulation on the Coordinators for Modernizing Governmental Services and Governance e-Transformation Council

During today's meeting, March 21, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the Regulation on the Coordinators' Council for Modernization Governmental Services and Governance e-Transformation.
The Coordinators' Council for Modernization Governmental Services and Governance e-Transformation will be a collegial body, led by the Government Deputy Secretary General, formed by the General State Secretaries representing ministries, heads and/or deputies of other central administrative authorities and public authorities subordinated to the Government, the head of the Public Services Agency and the head of the Centre for Reforms' Implementation.
According to the Regulation, the Council will have the mission to coordinate the activities of modernizing government services and ensure the continuity of the Governance e-Transformation Project. At the same time, its members will assess the progress of the modernization and the government services delivery reform implementation and will come up with efficient solutions for increasing the quality of government services. Its members will also monitor the progress of implementation of the public service re-engineering and digitization projects launched by the Government jointly with the e-Government Center.
The new Council will be established by extending the competencies of the Coordinators' Council for Governance e-Transformation created in 2011 to ensure the continuation of the e-transformation agenda implementation at sectoral level. With the launching of the Governmental Service Modernization Agenda, it was necessary to review the mission of this Council at a higher level to enhance the efficiency and quality of public service delivery and to ensure the continuation of the public-sector e-Transformation.
