In the context of the Strategic Program for Technological Modernization of Governance (e-Transformation) and all the measures taken with a view to fostering the electronic public services’ development and implementation process, on January 13, 2015, the electronic tax declaration for the legal entities has been connected to the MSign service.

The “e-Government Digital Signature (MSign) Service” is an integrating, secured and flexible mechanism for the application and verification of the digital signature authenticity by the users, including in the context of using information systems and electronic services.  

The distinctive advantage offered by MSign is the possibility of using all the digital signatures available on the market of the Republic of Moldova (CTS signature, mobile signature, Tax Service signature).

The benefits of the MSign service:

Through the medium of the MSign service, the citizens are able to remotely sign documents, reports, statements submitted to the public institutions as well as online applications. According to the legislation of the Republic of Moldova, the electronic signature is equivalent to the traditional handwritten signature and should be treated as such. The citizens can electronically sign and send by e-mail petitions addressed to central public authorities and local public authorities without having to appear before the relevant public institutions’ offices. The business people can use MSign to remotely sign contracts, thus saving the company’s time and resources.

The public services that are already using the MSign Platform are the following: e - Licensing, e-Civil Status, e- Apostille, e-Invoice, e- Tax Declaration (for individuals and legal entities).
