Electronic Statement - MPAY: over 450 thousand transactions

Starting from March 21, the Electronic Statement has been connected to the governmental service for electronic payments - MPay. This action was aimed at simplifying the tax reporting process as much as possible, on the one hand, enabling beneficiaries to fill in and submit the given statement in electronic format and, on the other hand, relieving them from the need of appearing before the bank counters in order to pay the income tax.
The decision to connect these two services has already started yielding positive results. In less than two weeks were recorded transactions totaling more than a half a million lei.
The e-Statement connection to the MPay service transposed both reporting and payment of tax obligations entirely in online mode.
The execution of payments by the instrumentality of the MPay service is as secure as the one made through the bank, since MPay uses exclusively bank-related payment instruments. The amounts of payments made through the MPay service end up into the service providers’ accounts no later than the second business day after the electronic transaction registration.
