The Electronic Governance Center has closed the M-Cloud Week in the Government

On 15 February 2013 took place the second session of the international seminar “Promoting Efficiency and Innovation in the Government through Cloud Computing Technologies”. The seminar program included the official launch of the M-Cloud Platform, international best practices of Cloud Computing technologies implementation by the private and public sectors, the security and the operational and continuity framework of the M-Cloud Platform.
In the event participated foreign Could Computing experts, representatives of ministries and other governmental institutions.
Seminar participants have been introduced to the M-Cloud Technological Platform security measures and continuity framework, Platform security standards and usage rules, security and protection of personal data in M-Cloud.
Also, participants discussed about the migration of IT systems and services to the M-Cloud Platform, as well as the advantages and the challenges of using Cloud Computing technologies in the public sector.
During the first session of the seminar, which took place on 14 February, the Electronic Governance Center has officially launched the common technological Platform M-Cloud in the Republic of Moldova.
The Cloud Computing is changing the traditional way how institutions function and offers the solution for the reorganization of an institution’s informational structure. The system allows to discard complicated software, which are different for each institution, with proprietary operating systems.
The international seminar “Promoting efficiency and innovation in the Government through Cloud Computing Technologies” is part of the “M-Cloud Week in the Government”, organized by the Electronic Governance Center during 11-15 February 2013.
