The EGC attended the Agricultural Digital Registry (ADR) presentation session

The E-Government Center, in partnership with the Agricultural Information Centre and Food Safety Agency, attended the Agricultural Digital Registry piloting pre-launch meeting, version 1.0., organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry. The ADR piloting will start in the month of July 2015, within the Ministry Agriculture and Food Industry and the National Agency on Food Safety.
The Agricultural Digital Registry will provide access to operational data concerning the activities carried out by the economic agents from the agro-industrial sector and will facilitate the provision of quality public services, including in on-line mode, based on the "one-stop shop" principle.
The use of the Agricultural Digital Registry will enable:
- The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAFI) to hold consolidated information on the agro-industrial sector activity for efficient policy making in the field. At the same time, the compensation for the damages caused by natural disasters will be distributed in a more efficient manner;
- The Agency for Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA) to contribute to the optimization and efficient management of the agricultural subsidy process.
- The National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) to create the register of issued permits, to digitize and effectively manage the process of issuing permits and consolidate the information on plant and animal production;
The economic agents will be able to apply for permits online and manage their internal production process in the most efficient way possible.
The ADR will have a web page with an internal interface for the public institutions that will benefit from:
• Access to Registers and Reports
• Online access to the submitted electronic forms
• Claim processing flows
• Access to the economic agents’ files
• Endorsement and issuing of permits
• Offline (at the counter) registration of applications
The external interface will also be available for the economic agents that will benefit from:
• Access to Registers
• Online access to electronic forms
• Personal file storage
The central public administration, as well as the local one will be able to access the ADR data through the (MConnect) Interoperability Platform. This will remove bureaucracy and the administrative burden on citizens and businesses.
The ADR is developed with the financial support of the Governance e-Transformation Project, funded by the World Bank.
