EGA’s experience in organising the remote work

Remote work is a new reality we are already beginning to adapt to. Lately, an increasing number of state institutions and private companies have switched to remote work, without employees being present at the office. That means using technology, digital innovations and a lot of responsibility for employees.
Diana Zaharia, head of the Institutional Management Department, participated in the Good Morning show on Moldova 1 National television, where she talked about the experience of the e-Governance Agency (EGA) in organizing remote work and about the challenges this process implies. This INTERVIEW OF THE WEEK was part of the Communication Campaign dedicated to the 10 years of e-governance and innovation in the Republic of Moldova.
”The e-Governance Agency has been working remotely since the very first day of the emergency situation. Our entire team has switched to online work, using online platforms for the meetings, for activity planning, as well as for monitoring the tasks we set for ourselves", Diana Zaharia said, adding that, despite the rather unusual working conditions, EGA managed to launch new services and platforms such as: Citizen's Portal and the Government e-Notification Service MNotify.
Diana Zaharia also stressed that lately, using more electronic services was the only possible solution for some people, but it was also an opportunity to see the usefulness of EGA services and products, created to enhance the efficiency, the accessibility, but also the safety for the users, which is essential during the pandemic. "For instance, the electronic signature has been used 1.5 million times since March until now," the head of EGA’s Institutional Management Department said.
