A new information session entitled "Electronic governance in the service of the diaspora" was held by the e-Governance Agency (EGA) today, 24 August 2021, aimed at informing the nationals of the Republic of Moldova living abroad about the opportunities offered by e-governance and about how electronic public services can be accessed and used. The session was held online, bringing together about 30 participants from countries such as Ireland, France, Estonia, Italy, Cyprus, the Russian Federation, UK, etc.
During the session, the participants received information on e-governance infrastructure available in the Republic of Moldova, the electronic identity, the authentication in the national information systems, as well as on the major advantages of using electronic services.

In turn, Ion Budeci, operations specialist, explained in detail what the Government Electronic Payment Service (MPay) is and what opportunities it offers. The EGA’s expert also performed a live demonstration of the services that can be used via the mpay.gov.md platform.
The participants received information about the digital products to be launched in the following period, namely: a new possibility of applying the signature remotely via a smartphone application, as well as about the future prospects of the functionalities of the Public Services Portal.
The diaspora appreciated the high level of professionalism of the EGA’s experts and mentioned that such events are welcome, offering them the opportunity to communicate with specialists from institutions in the Republic of Moldova.
Today's event completes the series of information and literacy actions, designed to proactively contribute to ensuring positive relations between the citizen and the state. The information campaign "e-Moldova - anywhere with you" organized by the e-Governance Agency in August, aims at informing the citizens in the diaspora about the efficiency of using electronic public services.
