THE ECONOMIC AGENTS WILL BE ABLE TO ISSUE AND SEND ONLINE TAX INVOICES

Chisinau, February 11, 2014. One of the most requested government service – issuance of invoices – is also provided in digital format (online) by the Government in partnership with the State Tax Service and with the support of the Center for Electronic Governance.
Thus, the “e-Invoice” service allows companies to issue and send bills or invoices without having to go to the State Tax Service headquarters.
Ion Prisacaru, Head of the State Tax Service: „e-Invoice provides a number of indisputable advantages to all parties involved in the process of implementing and using this service, including increased efficiency in terms of carried out transactions’ documentation, reduced risk of invoices’ counterfeiting, increased labor productivity, reduced bills and invoices printing expenses, minimized risk of bills or invoices’ forms loosing, reduced incurred expenses.”
Present at the event, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Iurie Leanca, stated that the provision of public services in electronic format represents an important factor in eliminating the corruption risks, but also in the process of integrating citizens and business people from our country in the European community. The Head of the Cabinet of Ministers said that the EU priorities in this area, until 2015, focus on attracting 50% of citizens and 80% business people to use electronic services. „Therefore, in 2014, the Government will launch several electronic public services, such as the electronic register of state controls, e-permits for water use e-authorizations for transportation, and others", the Prime Minister said.
Stela Mocan, Director of the CEG: “Comfort, efficiency, transparency, rapidity and safety – these criteria underlie the concept of public services’ digitization. e-Invoice meets the aforementioned criteria, moreover, the digitization processes have been designed in such a way as to guarantee the safety of internet transactions and personal data protection.”
The electronic service e-Invoice is to be launched in three steps: first step – pilot, for a period of 6 months, within which the service is to be tested with a limited number of economic agents. At the end of this stage, soft adjustments shall be done, if necessary. The second step - experimental area, to be launched under testing regime of the program for all the economic agents, starting from June, 2014. The final step - the industrial launch, relates to the nationwide E-invoice service use, starting from January 2015.
The “e-Invoice” service is part of the e-Government Transformation project, supported by the World Bank and implemented by the instrumentality of Center for Electronic Governance.
