The EaP countries on a study visit to Moldova on Governance e-Transformation and Public Services' Modernization

On 18 and 19 February 2020, Moldova e-Governance Agency, in partnership with GIZ, hosted counterparts from other Eastern Partnership (EaP) member states, such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, and Ukraine, who undertook a study visit to Chisinau on “Governance e-Transformation and Modernization of Public Services: a governance reinvention journey".
30 participants from the five countries participating to the study visit, all representatives of top management within e-governance agencies and other entities implementing public services modernization and governance e-transformation projects.
The purpose of the study visit was to share valuable information about Moldova’s experience in the context of its achievements, piloted and scaled up approaches, and challenges in the implementation of reform agendas with a major transformation impact, the lessons learned in terms of regulatory, technical and technological, institutional and methodologic frameworks to enable the Governance e-Transformation and Modernization of Public Administrative Services at all levels.
EGA representatives introduced to the participants the whole range of e-governance infrastructure products implemented in Moldova, including the platform products developed as part of the Governance e-Transformation Agenda and the new Modernization of Government Services Project, launched in June 2018 with the financial support of the World Bank Group. A number of central public authorities also participated in the study visited, sharing valuable practices and lessons learned in the area of e-transformation and modernization of public services: the National House for Social Insurance, the Information Technology and Cyber Security Service, the IT Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Centre for Information Technologies in Finance by the Ministry of Finance, and the National Authority of Integrity.
