The e- government transformation project assessed at the meeting with the World Bank and state institutions

The e-Government Centre and the state institutions that joined the e-transformation agenda, met in a meeting to assess the public electronic services and the implemented infrastructure. The representative of the World Bank mission, Mikhail Mondiale, the co-TTL for the GET Moldova, Transport & ICT Global Practice Project, who was in a special visit to Moldova, also participated in the meeting.
Iurie Turcanu, the Executive Director of the e-Government Centre, who encouraged the participants to further involve and support the Government Technological Modernization Agenda, made the introductory speech. ,,We must be quick and professional in order to ensure digital resources for the future, regardless of the economic and political situation of the Republic of Moldova. The pace of reforms must be accelerated”, Iurie Turcanu stated.
The following institutions participated in the meeting: Ministry of Justice, Centre of Special Telecommunications, SE ,,Cadastru”, National Social Insurance Company”, the Civil Status Service, the National Auto Transport Agency, and the Agricultural Information Centre. The representatives of state institutions shared the experience of e-transformation based on the lessons learned that should be taken into account when the next steps are planned. At the same time, the public sector is open for the implementation of the Government Technological Modernization Agenda and supports the further activity of the e-Government Centre. In addition, the state institutions participating in the meeting showed their interest in the MCloud platform.
The beneficiaries of the electronic public services are the citizens of the country (Government for the citizen –G2C), the business environment (G2B), and the state institutions (G2G). Moreover, the infrastructure created by the e-Government Centre – Cloud Computing (MCloud), the online payments system (MPay), the ECMP (Enterprise Content Management Platform) Shared Register, MSign, MPass – all are made available to the state institutions, in order for them to be able to provide faster and cheaper sectorial electronic services. The goal of the e-Government Centre is the technological modernization of governance until 2020. The Governance e-transformation projects are financed by the World Bank and the Government of the Republic of Moldova.
