e-GOVERNANCE WILL ARRIVE IN EVERY LOCALITY IN MOLDOVA

The E-Government Center signed a cooperation memorandum with the State Enterprise "Posta Moldovei". The memorandum aims to stimulate and facilitate the implementation of intelligent information technologies for optimizing public services and improving interaction with citizens. These actions are aimed at simplifying the administrative procedures, reducing bureaucracy and corruption and lowering the cost of public services. The "Moldovan Post" is a network of 1148 offices in the country, rendering services to citizens in over 1,500 locations.
According to the executive director of the Center for Electronic Governance, Stela Mocan, "in the country there are more and more people consuming digital services. These people can’t imagine waiting in line to pay for certain services. Therefore, we propose to pilot innovative projects to achieve easy access to public services."
The memorandum’s objective is to establish a framework for cooperation between the parties, in areas of common interest. In the first stage, a series of communication campaigns and training sessions will be organized for the post offices’ employees.
The e-Government Center promotes strategic partnerships with public and private institutions in order to achieve the government technological modernization Agenda (e-Transformation).
In 2013, the Center will launch several initiatives and electronic services, including the Governmental payment service (M-PAY), e-Visa, e-Cadaster, electronic invoice.
