The e-Governance Agency participated in the public consultation session to discuss the proposals for the Government Action Plan for 2021-2022 in the field of economy and entrepreneurship, which took place today, 8 September 2021. The event brought together representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the Economic Council of the Prime Minister, the Cabinet of the President, the State Chancellery and ICT, representatives of the business sector, associations and foreign partners.

The basic topic of the consultations was the economy and entrepreneurship in terms of digitizing processes, services, transactions, etc. Present at the event, Deputy Prime Minister for Digitalization Iurie Turcanu said that Digitalization is the red thread that runs through all sectors, because digital tools are those modern and efficient solutions designed to contribute substantially to the development of the economy and make life easier.

Iurie Turcanu listed a series of basic actions to be found in the Action Plan, which will be implemented as a matter of priority within the established terms. These include:

1. Simplifying the interaction between the entrepreneur and state institutions by reducing the administrative burden. Institutions will exchange data with each other without the direct involvement of the entrepreneur; 2. Exclusion of paper permits and development of the digital platform for permits; 3. Online business registration; 4. Simplification of activity reports, as some reporting information is currently being duplicated and is to be unified. 4. Creating favourable conditions for e-commerce; 5. Developing and implementing the government delivery service (MDelivery) which will also be available for the private sector; 6. Launching the new version of the Public Services Portal; 7. Completing with new functionalities the Entrepreneur’s Cabinet - a very useful resource for the business community and other actions to be formulated in the new vision on digital transformation in the Republic of Moldova.

The participants actively participated in debates and submitted proposals, but also asked questions regarding the digitalization of economic sectors, implicitly the business development and support for business activities in the use of available digital solutions and tools, as well as the use of information technologies. The participants also appreciated the increased attention to be given to start-ups and expressed their support and interest in collaborating with the digitalization team and the community of supporters of digital transformation.

In the end, the Deputy Prime Minister mentioned the importance of developing the conceptual framework and formulating a clear strategic vision on digitalization - this will be the basic axis that will bring together the efforts of all parties involved in this important and irreversible process.
