Digital opportunities and electronic public services, presented at the Diaspora Congress

The e-Governance Agency (eGA) participated in the 2021 Diaspora Congress and presented the working session on e-Governance.
At the beginning of the event, the Deputy Prime Minister for Digitalization, Iurie Turcanu, welcomed the Congress participants, mentioning that the government team is determined to act firmly and decisively to implement its digitalization agenda. "The government aims to modernize and ensure a different interaction between citizens and the government, and between entrepreneurs and the government. We will change the service delivery model to ensure that services are accessible to all citizens, both those in the country, and those abroad", said Iurie Turcanu.
In turn, Vlad Manoil, eGA's Reengineering Officer, presented the government platforms and services that are available to the citizens of our country, wherever they are.
Congress participants were introduced to a number of new products and were provided with instructions on how to log in to the system using MPass, navigate through the menu of pages featuring government services such as: the Government Electronic Signature Service MSign, the Electronic Authorization Registry MPower, the Government Electronic Payment Service MPay, the Public Services Portal (including the new version), the Citizens' and Entrepreneurs' Portal MCabinet and other e-governance platforms. In addition, he presented the pilot project on Unified Centre for Public Service Delivery (CUPS), which will be launched in the coming months in five consular offices and 17 rural localities in the country, to help citizens who do not have the necessary conditions to access electronic services to benefit from them being assisted by specialists trained for this purpose.
This was followed by an interactive discussion, in which Congress participants asked questions and made proposals for a faster and more efficient development of the government's good intentions to digitalize processes.
Today's event is part of the Diaspora Information Campaign entitled "e-Moldova anywhere with you", conducted by eGA during August this year, in the context of the Diaspora Days 2021, organized under the auspices of the Government of the Republic of Moldova. The beneficiaries of the campaign are Moldovans from the diaspora who are informed, through familiarization with and popularization of digital public services that can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
