WHY DATA JOURNALISM?
“Using data transforms something abstract into something everyone can understand and relate to”
In the age of big data, the growing importance of data journalism lies in the ability of its practitioners to provide context, clarity and make otherwise hidden connections and truths in the expanding amount of digital content.
Data-driven journalism provides another way to scrutinize the world and hold powers to account. With an increasing amount of data available and recent efforts in this field in Moldova now, more than ever, it is important that journalists add data analysis to their toolkit.
