Citizens’ satisfaction with the electronic public services increases proportionally to their online accessing

Citizens’ satisfaction with the electronic public services accessed online increased, according to the “Population’s perception, assimilation and support of the Governance e-Transformation in the Republic of Moldova” survey.
Citizens’ satisfaction with the electronic public services accessed online increased in comparison with the last year, reaching 66.3%.
Such services are mostly requested by managers of all levels (54% of the respondents), highly qualified specialists, and qualified agriculture workers (these groups gave almost 40% of all the answers). Public services were least requested by pupils/students (21%), the respondents in the Northern part of the country (23%), elderly people aged 66-74 and people who claimed to be jobless/in search of a job (25%).
The online method only is mostly used by managers of all levels (24%), highly qualified specialists (12%), people with revenues of over MDL 6000 (12%), people with higher education and inhabitant of the capital city (10%).
The rural population still prefer traditional methods of accessing public services, while the inhabitants of the capital city are increasingly open to use mixed ways (both online and offline) of accessing public services.
The survey was ordered by the e-Governance Centre and carried out by the CBS-AXA during November-December 2014, and covered rural and urban localities throughout the country, with a representative sampling of 3005 people. The survey margin of error is ± 1.8%.
