Chisinau started “The Cybersecurity Month in the Government"
For the second consecutive year, the Government of the Republic of Moldova organizes “The Cybersecurity Month in the Government". The event is occasioned by the "EU Cybersecurity Month" and aims to promote and ensure information security in the context of the governance technological modernization.
Throughout the month of October various activities for public officials, citizens, businesses and civil society repezentatives will be organized. Meetings and consultations will be held in order to develop the Action Plan on cybersecurity in government (2013-2015), as well as round tables and thematic discussions on various aspects of digital security.
The members of the executive will take part in a thematic forum with the participation of the Prime Minister Iurie Leanca and the President of Estonia, Toomas Hendrik Ilves. The officials will learn more about ensuring information security in the digital age and about the Estonian experience in the field.
Cyber security is a top priority for the Government of the Republic of Moldova. Proper use of technological modernization instruments can ensure secure access to services and data and efficient fight against corruption.
The Republic of Moldova is one of the most important partners in Central and Eastern Europe that joined the EU joint effort that aim to ensure information security, along with countries like Germany, Estonia, France, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
