General News

On the 26th of June, the European Commission approved a proposal for a new interoperability program. This platform will help the Member States modernize their administrations and provide interoperable digital services at the national and European level. The new ISA2 program shall be build based on the success of the previous ISA version (Interoperability Solutions for European Public Administrations) by ensuring the cross-sectorial and cross-border electronic interaction between European public administrations.

The program will support the providing of joint and shared solutions, common frameworks, generic tools and common services that are to be implemented accordingly by the European public administrations for the exchange of information across the borders and sectors. Unless otherwise foreseen, the application of such solutions is basically subject to Member States' decision.

At the same time, we would like to mention that in June this year, the Government of the Republic of Moldova approved the interoperability platform pilot plan for 9 public institutions, complying with the standard of the European Union.

Interoperability is the capacity of the systems and organisations to collaborate, to exchange and to reuse data. The interoperability platform is the technological solution that facilitates data exchange. The interoperability framework comprises the interoperability platform and all other related aspects, as well as the normative, institutional, financial frameworks etc.
