General News

On June 18, the Annual GirlsGoIT forum took place, in Comrat. The event met the program participants and its partners to award TI products developed by the young girls from the 7 localities of the country (Chisinau, Straseni, Salcuta, Stefan-Voda, Ungheni, Comrat and Calarasi), as well as to discuss about economic ability and opportunities offered to these girls in ICT.

The EGC representative, Oxana Casu invoked within the event the contribution brought by girls in the field of TI, in particular, by valuing the intellectual potential. In addition, the eGov representative enjoyed an interactive discussion with participants, to prove that information technologies are an emancipation tool of girls from the Republic of Moldova.

The Electronic Governance Centre encourages the girls passionate about TI to build a career in this field, as well as the development of a new generation of experts in the field of information technologies.

GirlsGoIT supports the girls’ integration in information technology field, a promising field for both their own progress and the entire society. The Electronic Governance Centre, UN Women, Novateca, and Sparks support the project.
