In the context of the Open Government Week, March 11-17, 2019, Mr. Igor Bercu, IT product manager at the E-Governance Agency, presented the situation of open data in Moldova during a regional meeting of the Eastern Partnership countries.
Thus, according to official data, 1109 open data sets, 8160 resources are currently available and 46 coordinators from the central public authorities are responsible for publishing open data.
At the same time, around 3.5 million downloaded files were estimated and 27 applications developed based on open data published on the open data government portal - date.gov.md.
The Open Government Week is an annual action that takes place globally, being initiated and promoted by the Open Government Partnership.
For a week, from March 11-17, 2019, representatives of governments, political leaders and experts from around the world meet to exchange ideas, find solutions and engage in actions to raise public engagement in the governance process.
The regional meeting of the Eastern Partnership member cstates took place on March 5-6 and was organized by the Implementation of the Shared Environmental Information System principles and practices in the Eastern Partnership countries (ENI SEIS II East) Project.
