Business sector informed about digital opportunities

The third online information session dedicated to entrepreneurs took place today and brought together dozens of participants from all over the country. The action is the last of the series of 3 sessions entitled "Digital services for business support", presented by experts from the e-Governance Agency and specialists from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova.
The main issues discussed today include the architecture and functionalities of the MCabinet Portal that were demonstrated by the Project Manager Igor Bercu. The expert explained in detail how the portal can be accessed and used, also presenting the full range of updated data and benefits offered by electronic public services. The MCabinet Project Manager also referred to the legal framework that regulates the activity and content of the Portal. The virtual personal cabinet integrates the whole range of electronic services developed so far by EGA, including MPass, MSign, MConnect, MPower, MPay, MLog, etc., for the benefit and convenience of users.
Participants also learned useful information about the automated information system for managing and issuing permits (licenses, authorizations, certificates, etc.) required for business start-ups, a very important topic for entrepreneurs, which was brought to the attention of businesses by Vitalie Levința, EGA expert. Under the legislation, there are 151 different types of permits for businesses in the Republic of Moldova, issued by 30 institutions, of which 132 were integrated in the information system for the management and issuance of permits SIA GEAP. Last year, in the context of the pandemic, a considerable increase in the use of this system was noted. Thus, currently, over 60% of permits required for businesses are issued online through this system.
Each participant in the discussion had the opportunity to participate in practical exercises aimed at building the skills of using electronic services. Business sector representatives received support and recommendations from EGA and CCI experts on the use of digital services.
The perspectives of digitizing online services for businesses provided by the CCI were discussed by those present at the event, an important part of which was surveying the opinion of entrepreneurs on their needs, challenges and wishes related to business digitalization.
At the end of the course, beneficiaries received certificates of participation, being assured of organisers’ openness and availability to continue to provide all the necessary support for business development and application of knowledge gained during online sessions.
Such activities aimed at informing and training certain categories of beneficiaries will be regularly organised by the authors and administrators of the EGA public services, subject to innovations in the field of e-governance, as well as public requests and interest for digital innovations.
