Public consultation on the Action Plan for Open Government for 2014-2015

The State Chancellery, the e-Government Center and the National Council for Participation – E-Government thematic group/Open Government had a meeting today, July 9, 2013, to present the Action Plan for Open Government for 2014-2015. The event was launched within the new action plan development and consultation.

 "The e-Government Center aims at achieving a specific and realistic plan that would meet the expectations of Moldovan citizens", said Stela Mocan, Executive Director of the e-Government Center.

Stela Mocan also said that "The government is aiming to implement an organized but not very formalized process, so that the services could be accessed by a large number of citizens."

Abdoulaye Seck, the World Bank Country Manager for Europe Moldova and Central Asia remarked the success of the electronic transformation of the governance in the Republic of Moldova: "I would like to mention that this process was not successful in all the countries in which it was launched, and the beautiful results so far obtained by Moldova in this respect, should be a pride." 

“Moldova is a positive example in the implementation of the -Government process, example adopted by other countries", said Abdoulaye Seck.

Within the meeting, the progress report of the Open Governance Action Plan implementation for 2012 was also presented and the civil society presented the monitoring report of this plan’s implementation, as well as of the government data opening. 

Moldova joined the Open Government Partnership in April 2012.
