General News

The governmental electronic payment service MPay is becoming increasingly sought and is gaining more and more ground. Today, the number of 100,000 transactions processed through the medium of the MPay service has been exceeded. MPay allows citizens to pay for services via any legal payment instrument available in the Republic of Moldova:

•bank cards

•payment terminals;

•e-banking systems;

•cash payments (in the case of cash payments, citizens may appear before connected bank counters or “Posta Moldovei” offices).

Since the launch until now, 100, 185 transactions processed through the MPay have been recorded. This fact denotes a growing interest and an upward trend in terms of cashless payments.

The MPay service is accomplished by the instrumentality of the Center for Electronic Governance, Ministry of Finance and the Center for Special Telecommunications, in partnership with the National Bank and the private banking sector.

This service is part of the National Bank policies promoting non-cash transactions.
