The E-Government Center's team was trained within the “Participatory Democracy, Open Governance and Efficient e-Government Services (PADOS)” Project

From November 12 to 13, 2015, members of the e-Government Center (CGE), Central Public Authorities but also the employees of other government institutions, were trained by their colleagues from Finland and Estonia within the PADOS project.
For two days, the experts from Finland and Estonia, shared their e-Governance-related experience and presented the reforms implemented within the public administrations of their respective countries.
The introductory speech was made by Iurie Turcanu, the Executive Director of the Electronic Government Center, who encouraged the participants to learn and apply the experience shared by colleagues from Finland and Estonia, countries that have achieved the greatest accomplishments in this area.
The key-topic addressed during the first day of the workshop was the “Efficiency of the Government Services”. In this context, Liia Hänni, Senior Expert at the E-Governance Academy from Estonia talked about e-Democracy, and Jarno Limnéll, IT Professor at the Aalto University from Finland, familiarized the participants with the cyber security and its importance in his field of activity.
The second day of the workshop was dedicated to the Good Governance and the reforms that are being currently implemented within the public administrations from abroad. Successful international practices and examples of efficient electronic services were shared.
Participatory Democracy, Open Governance & Efficient eGovernment Services project (PADOS) was established in 2015 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Finland. Its overall objective is to enhance the transparency and openness of the decision-making and governance in six EaP countries, namely Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine and thus support the democratic governance.
